Damage Hair Care
When my friend returned back home after a long stint in the hostel, we were terribly shocked to look at the state of her hair. So dry and brittle, I thought her would break off any moment.

Dry and damaged hair is a common condition for many. How do we manage and tackle the condition. My friend a hair care expert threw some light on the same

Identify the source of damage – The source that is causing the damage needs to be definitely identified. This helps in understanding the cause for the damage.
Nutritious food – The first and foremost requirement for healthy hair is nutritious food. A balanced diet with all essential minerals and vitamins helps prevent dry and damaged hair.
Hot oil massages – Hot oil massages can help repair dry and damaged hair. Scalp massage stimulates blood circulation and secretion of natural oils from the scalp. Massaging the scalp with warm coconut oil or olive oil helps.
Use a mild shampoo that does not damage the hair and strip it off its natural oils.
Avoid blow dryers – Try and avoid blow dryers, blow dryers tend to damage the hair.
Coloring, straightening, flat irons, etc can also damage the hair to a great extent.
Use a conditioner of good quality, try using a leave-in conditioner
Use the right hair brush with wide teeth and use the right comb.
Good hair mask - Try using a good hair mask. Hair masks can be made at home too. Blend an egg with a tablespoon of castor oil, one teaspoon of glycerin and honey and a few drops of lemon juice. Apply this to the hair and wrap your hair with a towel dipped in warm water.
Get regular hair trims to keep off split ends.
Rinse with cool water for the final rinse, this will help close the cuticle and prevent any further damage.
Use products that are alcohol-free
Cover your hair while going out in the hot sun.
Follow these tips and have damage-free hair
